***Press Release*** Dear Editor, Over the last three and a half years, and probably longer, the general public had been fed a lot of misinformation about the outcomes, for our country, of the Brexit process. Often these slogans have been written down the sides of red buses. One of the most important Brexit outcomes and the one most close to the heart of our own constituency is the possible implications for our fishery. Our Hastings & Rye fleets have had just cause, over the years, criticising the portion of quota that the small boats receive from the UK government - a decision that has always been the UK government's to make. If I am elected as the new MP for Hastings & Rye I will argue this case in the House with every breath in my body. But I will also tell the truth to my fisherman friends. No Deal and Bad Deal Brexit will hurt, if not kill, your industry.
